Well that didn't take long....Flyers fire Laviolette after 0-3 start to the season

Craig Berebue is expected to be named the replacement.  Full Story at www.tsn.ca/nhl

I guess one prediction is correct so far!!!  Now it's just a matter of when and where for Laviolette.  He will have a new job for sure.  Philadelphia is still not going anywhere with the defence and goaltending they have.  I think it's about time Flyers' management and ownership take a look at the GM Paul Holmgren.

There is a reason why Assistant GM Ron Hextall left the same post he had with the former champs L.A. Kings.  Homlgren might last the season, but Hextall is the next general manager for sure.

Well, all I can say is things will be interesting for other teams similar to the Flyers - up against the cap and high expectations.  I think a close ey ehas to be on the Minnesota Wild.  They just signed Jason Pomminville to a huge contract ($5+ Million per year).  I think they are a team to watch around the 10-15 game mark.
