Alexander The GR8....Scores his 100th point as a rookie

Ovechkin hits 100 points with OT winner
Alex Ovechkin scored 3:30 into overtime, making him the sixth NHL rookie to reach 100 points and giving the Washington Capitals a 2-1 victory against the Boston Bruins on Monday night.

After reaching the plateau, he was awarded with a shaving cream pie to the face in the Capitals locker room - courtesy of team captain Jeff Halpern.
''I didn't score for four, five games and everybody is talking about it,'' Ovechkin said. ''Coach (Glen Hanlon) came to me after the second period and said, `Don't think about it, just go out and enjoy your time.' ''
Ovechkin's goal snapped a six-game drought, that matched the longest of his first season, and gave him 49. The 20-year-old left winger has four games left to score again and join Teemu Selanne as the only NHL rookies to post 50 goals and 100 points in a debut season.
