With less than 24 hours to go before tomorrow's 3:00pm deadline, the trades have started to come through:

1. Veteran Luke Richardson is returning to the city that first brought him into the league. The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Richardson from the Columbus Blue Jackets for a fifth-round draft pick, Sportsnet has learned. The pick will be for this year's or next year's draft, depending on whether the Maple Leafs make the playoffs. It's fifth-round pick in 2006 if the Leafs miss the playoffs. However, if Toronto makes the post-season, the Blue Jackets have a choice of a fifth-round pick this year, or a fourth-round pick in 2007.

2. New York Rangers have traded forward Ville Nieminen to the San Jose Sharks for a third-round pick.

3. Edmonton Oilers acquired goaltender Dwayne Roloson from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a first round pick and a conditional 3rd round draft pick.

4. Los Angeles Kings acquire forward Mark Parrish and defenceman Brent Sopel from the New York Islanders in exchange for defenceman Denis Grebeshkov, forward Jeff Tambellini and a conditional third round pick.
