Avery: "Paul Kariya is the biggest diver in the league, and Hordichuk is the worst player in the NHL. He's an embarrassment. He can't even skate, he can't shoot and he can't pass. Just look at the stats."
What prompted this latest Avery rant was the mauling he received from Predators forward Darcy Hordichuk after the Preds forward had enough of Avery's antics, reports the Tennessean.
He high-sticked Hordichuk in the throat during the second period, then checked forward Paul Kariya into the boards from behind early in the third period. No penalty was called on either play.

I think this guy is probably the biggest load of !@#$$ to play in the NHL. During the lockout he made a stupid comment about the league is diluted with below-average, unskilled players from Europe, and we had too many teams.

Then in at the start of the season he makes comments about French-Canadian players wearing visors, and now he calls Kariya a diver and says Hordichuk sucks. Let’s see how GREAT the shit for brains is:

What’s so great about him? He makes a comment about a diluted league in terms of skill and talent. Since when was Avery a skilled and talented player in the NHL Anyone???? Maybe someone should remind Avery who he is.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but the last time I checked, these kind of stats are nothing to talk about. What makes him an expert on who should play in the league, or even comment on players in general. His numbers are a prime example of the types of players that have diluted the league in the past 5-10 years of expansion. Not just European players. As far as I am concerned, Avery and Hordichuk are 2 peas in a pod. Good for nothing in the new NHL. And right with them are guys like Oliwa, Belak, Shelley, Orr, just 6 foot-plus pylons who do not know how to play hockey.
