Patrice Brisebois has signed with the Colorado Avalanche, TSN has confirmed.
The defenceman, whose option was not picked up by the Montreal Canadiens, signed a 2 year deal with the Avalanche worth $4.5 million. He will earn $1.5 million this season and $3 million in 2005/06. Brisebois, who has played his entire NHL career with the Canadiens, has tallied 79 goals and 263 assists in 791 NHL games.
He scored four goals and dished out 27 assists in 71 games with Montreal in 2003-04.
