This is going to be a place for me to blog about the NHL and the great game of hockey. Along with league news and the state of the game, I will also comment and share all things I find interesting and enjoyable about our national past-time.

Foote signs with Blue jackets
A big defenceman is off the free agent market.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Adam Foote to a three-year, $13.5 million ($4.5 million per season) contract on Monday.
Signing Foote, who spent his first 13 seasons with the Quebec-Colorado franchise, would be a major move for the Blue Jackets. In 2003-04, the Blue Jackets allowed 238 goals to rank 24th in the NHL.
Foote, 34, helped the Avalanche win a pair of Stanley Cups and also was part of Canada's 2002 gold medal team at the Salt Lake City Olympics.
